I had completed B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Madras University. I selected Arizona State University as the research carried out there is similar to my field of interest.

I was the Recipient of Graduate Scholarship Grant from Arizona State University for academic years 2000-2004 and the Recipient of the Graduate College Award for Tuition (GCAT) Fellowship for academic year 2003-04.

I specialized in Electric power engineering and did my dissertation on the topic, Accommodation of loop flows in competitive electric power systems. My advisor was Dr. Gerald T. Heydt, he was one of the best, really. During my time at the university I had the opportunity to peer review journals and publish papers.

I had the opportunity to work as a Faculty research associate, Graduate research associate and Graduate research assistant at the university. It was a rich learning experience.

I am currently working as an assistant professor, Division of engineering, Colorado School of Mines.
