Northern Colorado had great opportunities for international students in terms of finances, social growth and international growth. It's so good that I could have given it a 6 star rating, if possible !!
I appeared for my GRE and TOEFL. Jamborre's TOEFL classes were very helpful. For GRE constant practise and tests were helpful. I needed a visa and the process if begun early is quite simple. I landed at an airport which was about 2 hours away fron the university, but that didn't seem to be a problem. The university did offer a 'meet and greet' service at the airport. I didn't face any immigration issues at the port of entry (I've been told there rarely is if all the papers are in order).
The program is an excellent means for students to become teachers. The university was one of the few to accept the 3 year BA degree I had. The small size structure and the personal nature of my professors, staff and faculty was what drew me particularly to the university.
In my specific program, there is a Teachers Fair; there are actually many throughout the year to which placement organisations from all over the world come. The center for International Education is very personalised and helpful.
