I had to write the GRE and the TOEFL exam to be eligible! For these, I took coaching from Dilip Oak's Academy; Pune. I also used the services of an educational counselor. I definitely needed a visa. The visa interview was easy once the paper work is in order. They asked questions about my father's occupation. It didn't last for more than a minute. Getting tickets was easy. However it was time consuming to find the right deal. I flew by DELTA airlines. It was good airline. I wasn't offered student fare and did not request excess baggage. I landed at BDL. The airport is very far from the university. Baggage was 23+23kgs.I didn't face immigration issues. There was no Meet and Greet.

We have RA and TA and tuition waivers.

I am very happy with the program. The professors are Good enough for me. The lecture halls are good enough for me. Library is amazing!! We have two. One of them is the tallest in the world.

I live off campus. We have full sports facility. I don't have a part time job and I don't advice. The social scene is good. It's a university town, but we have clubs and bars so the night life is reasonably well. The weather is amazing. The winters are harsh but I can't complain. I am unaware of any international society.

There is a placement cell. Its not easy for international students to get jobs. I am not aware of the placement process. I have no idea about the work permit .There is an alumni society but I don't know if they help with placements.
